We have recently been made aware that the Eliz Finance name has been the subject of a scam

A person will contact you via email from ‘Eliz Finance Pty Ltd’ letting you know you have been approved for a loan. Then you answer a list of questions including how much you would like to borrow, and also to send your last three months bank statements, payslips and 100 points ID.

Once you send in your details, you are then asked to pay insurance, then you are asked to pay tax.

We have been made aware of some victims then realising that this loan is not legitimate, telling the scammer they no longer want the loan and would like a refund.

Unfortunately, at this point it is too late, the money paid is gone.

The email address we are aware of is eliz-finance-pty-ltd@outlook.com

The business details such ABN and credit licence they are using in their logo/letters are the same as you see in ours above. If you look up these details, they look legitimate.

Red flags that this is a scam:

• loan has been offered without application
• you are asked to pay money before getting your loan
• no Credit Guide has been issued

The real Eliz Finance operates out of Pennywise Hervey Bay, and previously out of all Pennywise stores, and is a small family owned and operated business.

We have only ever accepted applications face to face, and do not have an online presence.

Our database of customers have not been compromised and remain confidential. The victims that we have been made aware of have been from interstate, and not previous clients.
