One lady’s acid tested 14ct yellow gold* and stamped (K18 D1.29 S2.22) cluster ring with sapphires and diamonds.
Weight: 7.83grams.
Manufacture: Cast and hand finished.
Total diamond weight: 1.29ct.
Bezel set, claw set and channel set sapphires; bezel set and channel set diamonds in a multi-tiered cluster with a contoured underrail. Tapering half round band with upswept split shoulders: 5.1-2.6mm wide.

Ceylon type sapphires – 1 x round mixed cut, 4×2.2mm, medium dark blue, eye-clean (Note: Etch pit, surface chip); 4 x marquise cut, (av.) 5×2.5mm, mid blue, moderately included; 18 x carre cut, 1.7×1.7mm, good mid blue, eye-clean (Note: Two have surface fractures), bright, medium makes.
Diamonds – 41 x round brilliant cut, H-J colour range, I2-I3 clarity, reduced transparency, 2 x 2mm, 2 x 2.2mm, 37 x 1.9-2.0mm, 41 = 1.29ct.
